President's Message

I just want to say hello. I am Andi Hughes, your new President for 2010-2011. I work at Newmeyer & Dillion LLP in Newport Beach. What I’d like to do this year, is to focus on empowering, educating and inspiring.

Empower: to give power or authority to; authorize, esp. by legal or official means.
Education: the act or process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life.
Inspire: to fill with an animating, quickening, or exalting influence.

We all have roles in our legal professions. I hope everyone enjoys their role as much as I enjoy mine. I believe if you continue your education (NALS of Orange County is starting a certification group – ALS, PLS, PP), believe in yourself, and inspire others to do the same; you’ll have an edge forward to enjoying your job, your professional organization, and the quality of your life.
